Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film best known for her performances in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens and a leading role in several television dramas. Her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. Alexandra was involved in a variety of notable national and international projects over the years. These projects comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she has been a juror at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in The Cannes Film Festival.
